Hello hello! Yet another weekend has escaped me with less sleep than I had hoped for, but hey, I'll catch up when the kids move out right?
Don't know if I've mentioned it but Jesse and Jocelyn are quite the dancers. They both know how to boogie down for sure! It really is so cute. Jocelyn jumps around and shakes her booty and Jesse tries to copy her.
I took Jocelyn with me to Stop & Shop today and she wore a new coat that I got her on clearance from Gymboree and it was SOOOOO CUTE! It's like a red paddington bear type coat but flared a bit to be a little girlier and it's just adorable.
We chatted in the car about how she's going to go to school tomorrow. She's very excited. We packed her backpack and she tried it on. I thought she might not like it because it's an old baseball backpack that the boys used, but she looked at it and said, "A baseball backpack! Just like Timothy! I love my backpack!" Then she wanted to put her bear in it and walk around with it. Just too adorable. Oh, and she got 3 new coloring books at Stop & Shop - they were labeled $1 each and were of good size so I let her pick 3. Well turns out when we checked out they were 3 for $1 - score! Of course, I would have bought them out if I had known that!
Jesse and Jocelyn have both been all boogars for several days - starting to clear up mostly it seems, or at least Jocelyn is - Jesse is still pretty snotty, and WHINEY! oy. Still cute though - tonight I showed him the miracle of stickers and we played at passing a sticker back and forth until the sticky wore off and then we did it again with a new sticker.
Morgan had a pretty good week - he's been working for bubbles at school, which I guess he very much enjoys. The notes home said he was a bit off, but we chalk it up to the same cold as the rest of us. Oh, and he got some sort of stomach bug Sunday night and ended up staying home on Monday, so that threw his week off a bit too. No one else threw up - knock on wood - we got lucky.
Timothy can smell spring and has been outside practicing basketball whenever he can. He's been playing at recess and wants to get better - which I guess is working because now he talks about how many points he scores at recess. He let us read his writing journal this week - which is not something he's required to do, he just does it. He makes up little short stories. Some of them are not bad at all!
Josh seems to be on board with the fact that I'm now doing all the grocery shopping even though I do things like buy fish and forget lemon. I'm getting the hang of it though!
