In another twist of ironic 2 year old behavior, Jesse now insists that he be left alone to use the bathroom, with the door shut. Yet if you request the same, he will stand at the door screaming and pounding.
He is ridiculously cute though. Last night he came into my room at some horrid hour crying and wanting to get into bed with me. And so in he came and we slept the rest of the night mostly peacefully. In the morning he told me he wanted to go see Timothy and disappeared for a few hours. Around 10 (yes, we slept until 10!) he came back in to tell me how last night there had been a monster in his room. For 20 minutes he went on and on about the monster and how he was scared and so he came to sleep with me and then the story sort of took random twists and turns about assorted other things. Quite a tale I tell you.
Jocelyn has been trying out some new adjectives. Now in addition to "perfect", things are also "awesome" and "fantastic". She found some new underwear in her drawer last night and held them up - "Did you buy these for me?" I said that I did. "Oh, they are wonderful, I love them!" So easy to please at times.
She and Jesse have been playing nicely together more and more (though intermixed with random screaming). One new game is to get naked and stand in the shower. They say they are taking a shower, but don't turn the water on! Jocelyn likes to play with the bazillion Little People we have - she even does voices for them and has them talk to each other. I found her pacing/skipping back and forth behind the kitchen counter the other day and asked her what she was doing. "Thinking," she said. The funny thing is, Timothy used to do the exact same thing in just the same manner - but not since she's been old enough to remember.
I managed to get Morgan to eat half a bowl of baked ziti tonight (picking around the meat of course) by telling him he couldn't have a popsicle if he didn't. He ate it begrudgingly, but he ate it - and so no peanut-butter sandwich for dinner.
Timothy and Josh went out golfing today - to a regular course. Josh said it was a little too much for Timothy and he was getting frustrated, but Josh lightened it up by having them each pretend to be a professional golfer and he did better then.
