More busy days at work that leave me like a lump on the couch whenever I'm home. I've managed to work both this weekend and the last - oy. But next Saturday starts vacation - woo hoo!!
Jocelyn had swim lessons this week - a parent/child class. I worked from home a couple days and ran out of the office at 5 on the others so we could make it in time. It was rough and involved booting back up at night to finish the day's work. I'd say it was worth it, but she wasn't super in love with swim lessons. She did blow bubbles, but wouldn't do the front or back float or put her head in the water any further than the tip of her nose. She still loved talking to everyone of course, but I'm not feeling motivated to bring her back this week when she just cries during most of it. I may just take Jesse instead.
Timothy had basketball camp this week. I guess one kid there didn't really like him much and was rather rough with him. The coaches (generally college kids) did like him though, especially the day he brought them bubbly waters. On the last day, the kid that didn't like him came charging down the court to ram into him. Josh had told him to stand his ground, so he planted his feet and waited for it. Luckily, Timothy is bigger. The kid slammed into him and bounced back, hitting his head on the court floor pretty hard. The kid looked up for the call but there wasn't one. Upset, he ran off the court to complain that Timothy was beating him up. This is where Timothy being liked by the coaches came in handy, as none of them believed him and told him to either play or sit down. Timothy won the free throw competition and got a t-shirt and an award. On the award is a hand-written note from his coach - "Tim was such a great kid to be around."
Same ol’ same ol’ with Morgan and Jesse. We're all itching for vacation...
