I love fall! I got to actually wear jeans and long sleeves yesterday - woo hoo! Unfortunately, it also means that cold season is upon us, which means all 4 kids (led by Jocelyn) have runny noses and coughs. Oddly, Timothy seems worst off and didn't get out of bed all day. That can't be good. I'm taking echinecea by the fistful to try to avoid it - the next 2 weeks are the busiest of the quarter at work and I can't get sick right now! Which of course means I'll be getting sick shortly - haha.
Jesse ended up in our bed whining most of last night - oy. He's the biggest whiner and even worse when he's sick! Jocelyn mostly is just dripping snot but also crying over EVERYTHING which is really her only other symptom and difficult to distinguish from her regular state of being.
Jocelyn and I decorated a piece of paper like a butterfly this weekend for her school assignment. She's very excited to show it to her teacher, who she says will love it.
I went to Target yesterday and found kid scissors on sale - 2 pairs for 35 cents. I looked at it over and over to make sure it wasn't a mistake! Then I bought them out! They also had 10 packs of generic markers for 44 cents and a few other great clearance items. I was there to get new underwear for Morgan (18 pairs) and Jocelyn (10 pairs) who had moved up a size. Luckily I had a bunch of fruit of the loom coupons! Bonus was I found 2 packs of fruit of the looms for Jocelyn already on clearance and then got to use the coupon ($1 off 2). So that should last for a while. Also picked up the cheapest coffee maker they have (under $1 O!) as we've decided we just go through a coffee pot every year no matter the brand/cost so why not just go cheap.
Josh took Jesse and Jocelyn to the playground on Friday to meet up with some of Jocelyn's friends from school, Madison was there and Josh said she came right up to Jocelyn and they ran off together and played the whole time. Jesse even joined them and Jocelyn was fine with that. In fact, I guess Jocelyn walked around explaining to anyone that would listen that her name was Jocelyn, this was her Dad, and this was her baby brother Jesse.
Josh says she does this every morning at school as well, even though she's told the same teachers over and over.
Not much else for news I guess. We saw our long lost friend Kevin this week for the first time in I think 3 years. He asked me where the rest of me was - haha. It was good to see him and he's living close now so we should see him more often.
