May 3, 2009

Well clearly I just haven't been pregnant in way too long, because the house has become a disorganized shrine of clutter!  So this weekend I did some cleaning. Saturday was Jocelyn's room - did a full emptying of the closet, moved the furniture around, pushed the 2nd mattress under the bed instead of beside it, donated 3 bags of stuffed animals and 1 bag of clothes, got out a full bag of trash, set up a coloring center, the whole nine yards.  It took roughly forever but looks great now.  Also moved the blocks and trains into Jesse's room and tidied up in there.  Then today was bathrooms and laundry.  Started in my bathroom, took apart the slow-flowing-sink, cleaned it, put it back together, rearranged all the toiletries and towels and sheets and such.  Then did the kids' bathroom - emptied their entire closet and started from scratch.  I had over a dozen hooded baby towels!  Then scrubbed enough gross off the toilet that you can tell it's a toilet again, washed I don't want to know what off Timothy's shampoo and conditioner, scrubbed down the tub and sinks and mirror and floor, and put all the sheets away in the rooms that they belong to instead of having them clog up the closet.  phew!  Meanwhile, managed to get 5 loads of laundry done, folded, and mostly put away.  Then after dinner I gave Jocelyn and Jesse, and then Morgan a bath, put leave in conditioner in Jocelyn's hair (we're struggling with snarls) and since Jesse was jealous, he got moussed up into a flock of seagulls look.

Oh, so while I was bathing Morgan (who was last), Jocelyn and Jesse were playing in our room and Jocelyn runs over to Josh and says "I'm going to miss this time."  When he asked why, she said "because it'll be over in a minute."

Well, I'm drawing a blank on anything else that happened this week.  I worked at home on Tuesday and Friday, and Friday I was even done in time for dinner, so that was nice.  Morgan's been bringing home a list of what he did at school so at dinner we go around and ask everyone what they did and Morgan gets to have a turn too. It's still general chaos right now as we try to get Jocelyn and Jesse to understand the concept of turn-taking when it comes to talking, but we'll get there.
