Well it's late and I need to get to bed, so we'll do this fast.
Timothy went to his first school dance. Tickets went on sale on a Monday and he bought one without even thinking about it, using his own money. He didn't even know if anyone else was going. It was just for 6th graders. Of course other people did go and according to him it was totally awesome (it was after school on a Thursday until 4:10) and everyone was asking him how he learned to dance so well. Too funny.
I met with Morgan's new special ed teacher (Becky), who said please don't cut his hair. She's very nice and we chatted for a while. Then there was a fire drill and Morgan saw me when he was lined up outside and wanted to go home with me. Miss Leah told him to tell me where he was going and he pointed to my car. I walked him to the door but told him he had to go back to school, so he threw himself down on the ground. Leah chatted with me and Becky for a minute until Morgan realized he wasn't going to get his way, at which point he popped up and headed to math. Later when Becky and I were done talking I went in and he was walking towards me in the hallway so I took him home (it was only 20 min until bus time anyway).
Jocelyn was in my room when I was undressing. I guess she doesn't know the word for bra because she looks at me and says, "oh mommy, I like your boobie hats!" I took last Friday afternoon off to watch her and Jesse play soccer. Mostly I got to watch her wander around while everyone else was playing! But I did see her go sit next to her friend Caden and try to get him to join the group, which was adorable.
Jesse didn't play at all, but he did look cute sitting on his ball beside Josh. He loves his play group and I can't remember if I mention that when he is fighting with Jocelyn, he will sometimes shout "IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, THEN TALK TO MRS. GERBER." Josh is going to see if he can sign him up for a 2nd day next session.
I decided to stimulate the economy today and let Josh leave the house. He came home with 2 new TVs and a blu-ray player. So hey, we're doing our part!
We had a really nice trip to Old Sturbridge Village last week. It's not the most entertaining of places when your kids have the attention span of a gerbil, but it was free and it was the most beautiful day!
I found the Jenny doll I had when I was little on ebay and ordered it for Jocelyn plus it's male companion Joey for Jesse. I think whoever owned Jenny last gave her roughly the same haircut that I gave her many years ago, adding to her charm.
