Jocelyn, Jesse, and Morgan all missed a whole week of school this week but I think are finally on the mend. Morgan is the best patient - lies quietly on the couch and doesn't eat much (that's the only way we know he's sick usually!). Morgan lost his voice and whispered all week, which made us wish that Jocelyn and Jesse had also lost their voices. Josh started getting sick Tuesday night, and I had a fresh bout starting Wednesday. This house needs to be aired out. Timothy spent Thursday home after waking up with a sore throat but turned out to be fine so went back to school on Friday, which meant he got to go to the school dance Friday night and his basketball game on Saturday. The dance went well, but the game ...
Timothy's team got, in his words, smooshed. They lost 34 to 6. On the brighter side, Timothy scored all 6 of his team's points and in general played very well. Josh says he even seems to be running faster these days!
We've all been having fun with Hanukkah since Friday night - yay for presents!! I love presents. I gave up on Josh getting me presents years ago and now I buy 8 for myself and wrap them for myself and then promptly forget what I bought and am always very pleasantly surprised!
The kids love lighting the candles - Jocelyn and Jesse can mostly do it unassisted this year, though Jesse tends to jam the lit candle directly into the one he's trying to light, putting them both out, and it's seemingly impossible to explain this to him.
So I got the tree up last week but only one strand of lights was working so I put off decorating it until I can get new lights. However, Jocelyn and Jesse had other plans. They took all the balls from the ball pit and crammed them into the branches all over the tree. It looks really cute! I still need to get lights though, but have been delayed by everyone being sick.
I had Morgan's parent teacher conference on Friday and got to meet his teacher. They said he was very engaged and making good progress.
