Jocelyn saw the doctor this week for a belated 4 year appt - she's 35lbs and 42inches, which puts her in the 50th and 90th percentile respectively.  Apparently she had the doctor giggling the whole time and did very well with all his questions and with the picture of a person he asked her to draw.  She did NOT do well with her shots, and was actually so bad about the finger prick that the nurse couldn't do it. Jesse tried to comfort her and looked very worried, but it didn't help either. Afterwards she talked about how the doctor was nice but the nurse wasn't.

Morgan was jumping on Timothy's bed on Friday and got clipped by the ceiling fan right on his temple.  He lost a good amount of blood.  Well, I shouldn't say *lost* seeing as we found it all over Timothy's bed and the walls, not to mention all over Morgan.  It was rather scary looking but once it was cleaned up, it wasn't that bad, just a little nick.  He seemed fairly unfazed - no tears or anything, though that's not unusual for him, it has to be a pretty bad injury to make him cry.

I went to the Spring Recital for Timothy's school - 4th and 5th grade orchestra, band, and then chorus.  I was late, thank goodness, and missed the orchestra.  The band, which I'm guessing was better than the orchestra, was still pretty bad and the set changes take FOREVER.  I was pretty much pulling my hair out by the time the chorus rolled around.  But I knew that Timothy had a solo, so I sucked it up.  His solo was the second song in - he and 5 other (total of 3 girls and 3 boys) stood in front of the rest of the chorus (about 170 kids by my rough count) doing a little dancy thing and singing the chorus part and then pair by pair they stepped to the microphones and took turns singing the verse, then stepped back.  Timothy was very good, surprisingly so!  He said he was nervous but you couldn't tell.  Then for the next song it was a dedication to his teacher who is retiring and Timothy cried through the whole thing (by now he was back into the group, but I could see him wiping tears from his face).  So sweet!

Registration for fall "Little Kickers" soccer came today - for kids born in 2005 and 2006.  Jocelyn and Jesse can play together!  I asked Jocelyn if she wanted to play soccer and she said "oh no, the big kids will get me!"  Once I explained that she would be one of the bigger kids and Jesse would be there too, then she was fine with it.  I think Jesse will just be beside himself with excitement!

We have a dumpster parked in the driveway right now and this weekend we managed to get the garage cleaned out while the kids played with water in the driveway.  Jesse has so little body fat that as soon as he gets wet he just starts shivering but that doesn't stop him.  He's gotten pretty skilled with the tricycle - very impressive!
