Not a lot of news this week.
Jocelyn continues to hold the keys. Also she did finally succeed in freeing Jesse from his room during naptime, though we're not sure how since the gate was still up and they were both outside of it with no construction materials in sight.
Jesse's new phrase is "mommy tell you" which means Mommy, I have something to tell you. But then he doesn't have anything to tell you.
Morgan has been gigglier than usual. I wish I knew what was so funny!
Timothy's team got creamed again today - 10 to 25. Geez they are terrible. He did fine but is just slow as molasses. Tonight I got out the pilates strap that my dad gave Morgan for Christmas, looped it around him, braced, and told him to run by LEANING FORWARD. I mean, no wonder he gets no speed, he doesn't lean into it! I hope it helped. We'll see next week.
In another reminder that I'm old, I injured myself on the Wii Fit this week. I must have pinched something doing hula hoop because my hip went pins and needles for two days. Seems to be better now - so strange though! So I had to take a few days off and have given up the hula hoop for a couple weeks. I still can't do the boxing due to my shoulder. oyoy! Today my body test tells me I'm 38 (I'm always old when I have to do the walking test), and when the number dropped from the sky, Morgan renewed his energetic laugh shouting "38!" and then collapsing in a fit of giggles. Nice.
question of the week:
This week's question is from Curious in Canton, who writes "How long have you and Josh been together?"
Well Curious, I'm glad you asked! Josh and I met 16 years ago today in Litchfield Dorm at UConn. I was wearing one piece cow pajamas, and apparently that attracts the tall quiet type. So that was January of 1993. When we started dating is hard to say seeing as we've never actually been out on a date. We moved in together in March of 1994 - not a popular move to many. We lived in a basement apartment that smelled rather funny and had bad lighting and reddish brown carpet that always seemed damp. Josh had left school by then and was working (somewhat full time) at Kathy John's (sort of like a Friendly's). I didn't work during school except as a math tutor a few hours a week. Some hypothesized that I was using Josh for his money, which if you think about it now, is just a little funny.
That summer I worked mixing paint at a hardware store for $5/hr. We spent more than we brought in, but then, we still do! By fall we moved within the same apt complex to one above ground that smelled less funny, had blue carpet that wasn't damp, and had a porch type thing. Much better. We had various temporary roommates over our stay there. I graduated in Dec of 95, started working at Andersen in Jan of 96, and we got married in June of 96. So we've been together 16 years, give or take, and married for 12 1/2.
