March 21, 2010

Jesse continues to have separation anxiety.  It's like OCD at times as he feels the need to say goodbye/I love you multiple times before anyone can actually leave.  He gives me a hard time about going to work.  Last week I explained to him that I have to go to work to get money so we can have food and clothes.  Wednesday night when I was tucking him in he told me that I could go to work in the morning and get my money, but then I had to drive home really fast.  I wish it worked like that!  He likes Fridays because I try to work at home as many Fridays as I can.

Tonight was the special "Swiper the Explorer".  Swiper is the antagonist fox on Dora the Explorer.  But tonight there is a lost baby fox and Swiper wants to help.  I was telling Jocelyn about the special tonight, and she says "but why does he want to help?"  Then before I could answer a little light went on for her.  "OHHHH!  Because Swiper is a FOX!"  It was hysterical.

The weather was gorgeous this weekend and we got to enjoy some time outside. Yesterday we just went out in the yard and ran around.  Well, the kids ran around - I mostly took pictures, which is way less exercise.  I should have run around instead! Then today we all went over to the playground, which everyone loves - especially Morgan because he likes the swings there.  Then we went over and saw Joey's new apartment.  MUCH better than where he was before!  He's out in Ellington near a bunch of cow pastures, so the smell as you approach is a little like poo - which of course all the kids commented on.  Josh stopped the car so I could get some pictures of the cows, and they smell MUCH worse close up!

So for those of you who viewed my pictures, I'm sure you noticed I've been working on my photo shop skills.  I'm getting there.  It is pretty amazing what you can do! But there are so many choices... and at the same time I'm still just trying to figure out how to use the camera in the first place!  Super fun though, I'm having a great time with it.
