What a great weekend! Susan and Jonathan arrived mid-afternoon on Friday and left today around noon. It's so nice to have a long visit where the kids have long enough to warm up and really play. The first night Jocelyn didn't quite get the idea. I told her it was time for bed and to say goodnight to grandma and grandpa. She turned to Susan and said "I'm going to bed, it's time for you to go home". Hahahaha. So we explained that they were staying in Timothy's room and would be there in the morning. She was quite pleased. This morning when Jesse called to be removed from his room (which wasn't until 8am!!) the first thing he said was "go find grandma?"
Saturday the kids really wore grandma and grandpa out! Grandpa did airplane rides, grandma ran the basketball game, etc etc. Jonathan went up to lie down for just a couple minutes and we woke him up 2 hours later. Well, Morgan woke him up. Morgan has a thing about crawling in to bed with whoever is sleeping in Timothy's room (including Timothy), so he woke grandma and grandpa up each morning. Anyway, grandma didn't catch a nap, or her breath, on Saturday, so Saturday night I suggested that Jonathan and I take Joey for some new clothes and we left Josh and Susan to relax (kids sleeping). We headed to JC Penney and got some great deals! It's way more fun shopping with other people's money, I had a blast!
Jocelyn got to show off how many times she can change her clothes, and Jesse got to show off how he can do anything Jocelyn can do. Morgan stayed in the mix all weekend, which was cute. Today was the photo shoot and I can't wait to see how they came out. I think Susan got a whole bunch of good ones despite the cruddy weather (and therefore general lack of light inside).
This afternoon I managed to get all my holiday cards addressed, and then finished up a sewing project (made 8 reusable shopping bags for teacher presents). I must have bad posture at the sewing machine because my back is killing me from sitting there for 3 hours. I am behind a week on clipping coupons but there weren't any today so I should be able to catch up.
