Jocelyn had a birthday. She spent the day saying "say happy birthday to me!" to everyone she saw, then smiling when they did. Her birthday was a Thursday and we did a family party when I got home from work that day, and then the next day we had a Tinker Belle party with two of her friends. My goodness there was a lot of noise! And why do kids always have to get on top of the kid opening presents?? She had fun though, and I think her friends did as well.
Jesse couldn't quite understand that it wasn't his birthday too, and was rather disappointed that none of the presents were for him, but he held it together, especially at the Tinker Belle party where he was having quite a good time.
Timothy got the spacers and subsequent anchors in his teeth and this week he goes in for the palette expander. I think about 6 weeks after he'll get braces. No fun for him, but I'm quite anxious to see what his face will look like without such goofy teeth!
Morgan continues to bring home a daily account of his day that he reads to everyone over dinner. It's fun to listen to him tell us about his day, and he's always really excited to read it to us.
Yesterday we had my parents and Elisabeth, Rob, and Chase here for February birthdays (Mandy & family were busy volunteering their time for a friend in need). The kids were nice and loud. The menfolk went to Timothy's basketball game to watch them continue their losing streak while mom and Elisabeth and I stayed with the kids and made pizzas.
Jocelyn had her 5 year doctor's appt and is 37lbs and 44 inches, which makes her an inch taller than Timothy and Morgan were at her age. She's so lanky!
We all broke out the Wii Fit today for the first time in a long time. Jesse is finally heavy enough and coordinated enough to do the ski jump! He was so excited when he did it! He gained 5lbs since he stepped on it 326 days ago, and grew 3 inches. Jocelyn gained 3lbs and grew 4 inches, and is back to being underweight according to Wii. Josh and I each gained 4lbs as well - and we didn't get any taller - ugh. We got Wii Fit Plus for xmas so had fun trying out all the new games. The kids found watching me get hit by giant swinging balls and being knocked off the obstacle course to be their favorite part.
