What a busy week! This new job continues to kick my butt - but my understanding is that the end of the quarter is their busy time, so that's part of the reason that it's so crazy. With any luck it'll settle down a little starting mid-July.

Monday I took Timothy and Morgan to the dentist. I had Morgan go first this time, which seemed to work better. He sat in the chair all by himself, and then while she leaned the chair back I sort of put myself on top of him and patted his head and repeated "you can do it" over and over. He wasn't happy about it but he did alright. Then he said AHHHHH and let her count his teeth and have a pretty good look at them actually. Then he was done! Timothy did fine (no xrays) but we have to make an appt with the oral surgeon to have a baby tooth extracted. The permanent tooth has come in so far behind it that it didn't knock the baby tooth out and now the gum has grown down around it and it's barely poking through. So THAT will be fun!

Josh met us in the parking lot after the appt (he is happy to and took all the kids to the McDonald's play place to celebrate Morgan's appt), while I sped off to work to make an 11 am meeting. I made it just in time!

Jocelyn found one of the horns to my breast pump in my office today and brought it to Josh and said "here dad, why don't you go make some milk for Jesse". She also told me this week "Jesse drinks milk from your nimbles but my nimbles don't have any milk," and then she ran off! hahaha. Jesse's actually almost weaned now. We're down to about once every other day and I expect he'll be done shortly. So almost 20 months - not bad compared to the 5 days I made it with Timothy!

Josh and Jesse were having an argument about something or other this week and I guess Jocelyn ran in with her "mom face on" (Josh's words) and said to Josh "WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE? WHY ARE YOU BEING MEAN TO HIM?" Josh said the face was so convincing that he momentarily felt the need to explain himself.

Jesse is such a verbal kid! He is always explaining something to you, though usually in jibberish. Some things are very clear though - like when Morgan stands in front of the TV and Jesse shouts "MORGY - SIT DOWN!!"

Morgan starts summer school on Tuesday. He'll miss the last week as we'll be on vacation. That gives Josh only 3 kids for a good part of the day for the next 5 weeks, which will be a little easier on him - he's looked a little spent at the end of each day this week! Timothy has a week of basketball camp and a week of drama camp at various points in July, and Jocelyn is going to a play group at the library for 3 Tuesdays starting 7/8.
