Happy New Year!
Jesse and I closed out the year today with a trip to the doctor's for his annual well child appt. He's 42 in (90th %) and 35 lbs (50th %) and got his blood pressure done and drew pictures, named colors and generally passed all the other tests. Then he had to get three shots, which made him cry but he still sat there and didn't fight and was so good. Then we went out to Friendly's for a Mommy/Jesse lunch. He's a very nice date!
Jocelyn and I had a girl's day out this week. We went and saw Tangled (which was super cute) and then we went to Target to spend some gift cards and Jocelyn spent some of her autism-study money on a new leotard. Then we had lunch at Atlanta Bread (we shared a grilled cheese and potato soup and smoothie) and stopped at GapKids to search the clearance rack.
Today mostly Josh and then some me spent time cleaning up the disaster of a house we call "Christmas happened here" since we had Tim and family for dinner tonight. Yikes. I'm surprised we were able to live in a house that looked like this for a week! But it looked much improved upon their arrival and mostly looks ok now.
I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror tonight after dinner. Yikes, I've packed on a few pounds. Looks like my plan of living off sugar while not exercising has some unforeseen consequences. So it's time to get back on the treadmill... and take a break from the fudge... hmmm, maybe I need to do a sparkpeople food journal again, that's really the only thing that keeps me honest.
Well no time for a pithy New Year's monologue now, it's time to watch When Harry Met Sally. Maybe tomorrow!
