I. Love. Presents.
I just love presents.
I find Hanukkah especially fun because we get to open one gift every night that we then actually play with. Plus for the first year ever, Morgan actually opens the presents. Then, of course, he couldn't care less about them and puts them down, but still - he opens it!
Josh had Jocelyn with him when he/she picked out my presents, which means every time I open one she jumps up and down and says "do you like it???" It's just hysterical.
I think Jocelyn is especially rewarding to buy gifts for because for every gift, she acts like someone has just given her a new car. Of course, for the first night of Hanukkah - someone did! Jocelyn got a Barbie four-wheeler and Jesse got a Lightening McQueen car, and let's just say that when I took them out in the garage and pulled the parachute that was covering them off in a big dramatic movement, well it was worth the 3 hours it took me and Josh to put them together.
Jocelyn and Jesse spent the day on roller skates, which they got for Hanukkah last night. Plus elbow pads, wrist pads, and knees pads. The pads are not because they need them, since they skate slower than a snail on the carpet, but rather because it just makes them look so cute!
We had a rough week with all of us taking turns throwing up, starting with Jesse and ending with me (who, happily, felt like I was *going* to throw up for a day, but never actually did - but everyone else did). Poor Jocelyn got it the worst and at one point was just crying in bed and saying "I just wish I didn't feel this way!" But it disappeared as suddenly as it started and everyone was fine by Saturday, with the house mostly not worse for the wear.
I had a fairly productive weekend. I made Jocelyn a dress out of old shirts, pants, and pajamas. Then I worked out the games I am planning for xmas eve, which of course are awesome.
My holiday cards are ready to go and should go out tomorrow. I wanted to wait until I didn't look like a freak for being so early - but we got 2 this week, so I think I'm in the clear.
I guess not much else for news. The house is mess, but what else is new. I had to vacuum dust bunnies today that were threatening to turn into tumbleweed.
Ok, Jesse wants me to put his present together, so I better go!
