Morgan is in the kitchen saying "Abbey SIT!" We're dog sitting for Tim for last night and tonight, and it's just hysterical watching Morgan boss around someone twice his size. No fear. He feeds her dog biscuits without letting go of them until she's got them in her mouth (where as Timothy chucks them across the room to avoid coming into contact with her). Unfortunately, Morgan also feeds her whatever he's supposed to eat as well.
Morgan's teacher called today to schedule a meeting for November where we can go over Morgan's IEP and revise/add some goals. Apparently he's mastered most of the transitioning goals and needs more goals, so that was pretty exciting. She also says Morgan has a friend. His name is Nathan and he likes Morgan very much and Morgan likes him. They play together and say hi to each other in the morning (he says, “Hi Morgan” and Morgan says, “Hi Nathan,” so that is also exciting). She sent home a picture of Morgan playing with Nathan and Joe, which was very cute.
Tuesday is picture day, so we're hoping for some cute pictures. It's also blue and green day for Morgan, so his whole class will likely be wearing blue and green, which should make for a fun class picture.
I took the boys to the library yesterday and we managed to stay there for about an hour and a half. Josh wasn't feeling well and stayed home. Morgan wanted to go, but didn't want to leave Josh, but wanted to go more than he didn't want to leave Josh, so as we were pulling out of the driveway he was crying and saying "bye bye ... bye bye" to Josh. It was so cute. He did very well at the library, where he had not been before. He walked in circles the whole time, but he was quiet, and even though he didn't acknowledge the other people/kids that were there, he did alter his route to avoid bumping into them, so that's something.
Timothy played with a large wooden dollhouse the whole time, both with and without other kids. Timothy and another little boy had the two play-dads fighting throughout the house. A little girl that stopped by looked appalled and decided not to play with them. Still, imaginative play is imaginative play and maybe it'll get Morgan into the mood too.
Timothy just came by to inform me that we'll be finding out who the governor of California will be at 2pm. He says he wants it to be Arnold. Looks like we may have a little Alex P. Keaton on our hands.
