Busy week this week!

Wednesday was my official "back to work" day, but my office wasn't ready so I worked from home, which was nice. It was supposed to be the day that the guy came over to hook us up to the sewer, but he never showed up. He had left a bunch of piping and a backhoe here on Tuesday, so at least we knew he'd come eventually.

Thursday I actually went back to the office. I had some minor pumping issues, but managed to mostly figure them out. Unfortunately I only pumped 7 oz and she drank 12, so that's not so great, but it's something. Everyone was so glad to see me back so it was hard not to have a great day, and it went really fast. Josh started a bottle of wine about 5 seconds after I walked in the door, but says she was good for him.

Friday morning we met with Morgan's current and future teachers to have an annual report and plan for next year. All went well. His physical therapist says he is age appropriate for gross motor, and even advanced with some skills (like he can catch a ball with just his hands and doesn't have to use his body). His occupational therapist says he's made really great strides in his sensory issues and is starting to know what he needs on his own. His speech therapist was also happy with his progress, but suggested he go from 1 hour to 1.5 hours per week for next year, and that he get therapy during the summer session as well, which I agreed with. Everyone went on and on about what a wonderful week he was having this week.

During our meeting (which was at Wapping School - his school for next year), the school nurse from Eli Terry called to say Morgan was limping, screaming in pain, and wouldn't let anyone touch him. I called Josh at home and had him go pick him up right away. By the time I got home from my meeting he was fine. As it turns out, he had to poop, and I guess he didn't want to go at school. He only missed an hour since Friday is a short day anyway.

One cute story that Morgan's teacher told was that there was another student crying during table top and Morgan got up to go over and touch him on the shoulder and face, trying to comfort him. He did this several times. So cute! He's also starting to “pretend play" with a baby doll when prompted to feed the baby and hug the baby, etc.

Friday afternoon we had an in-home photographer come to do pictures of Jocelyn and then of all 3 kids. She was CRAZY! And I don't mean good funny crazy - I mean fight every instinct not to throw her out of the house crazy!! She kept making these loud weird noises to get Jocelyn's attention, clapping her hands right in front of her face, slapping her hands on the table, etc. The first time she did it I almost hit her out of instinct! If Jocelyn had cried I would've asked her to leave, but Jocelyn didn't seem to think much of it at all. When she was doing all three kids, Morgan found her entertaining, but instead of smiling, he copied her so he had his tongue out making raspberries for most of the session. She was the fastest talker I'd ever ever EVER heard, and I have a huge tolerance for that since I talk so fast myself. I have never been so glad to see someone leave! Luckily she did the whole thing in about 25 minutes, and that includes my changing Jocelyn's clothes in the middle. We had to spend the next 60 minutes talking about her just to calm down. Josh says if he had known I was feeling the same way he was, that he would've physically removed her in a heartbeat. I just hope she got some good shots! The worst part is she has to come back to show us the proofs!

Uncle Joey brought us an early dinner Friday and we all ate together. Timothy was rather confused when we explained he had to sit at the table even after he was done! The cutest thing is when Morgan says "Uncle Joey".

This morning Timothy was supposed to have a baseball game but it got postponed until 5:45 because they were going to have pictures at 11am instead, but we went over at 11am and stood in the rain for 10 minutes before we realized that they weren't going to be taking pictures in the rain. So we headed back home. Now we have to wait around and see if the rain stops and if the game will be on. They actually played in the rain Wednesday night, so I have a feeling they will again. After the game we'll head up to Boxboro for the evening and Mom and I and Jocelyn will head to Mandy's in the AM for Elisabeth's shower. We'll leave the men-folk behind.

Eli Terry had another set of school pictures a couple weeks back and we got the prints this week. It was one of those deals where you don't have to pay until you get the pictures. They came out much better than the school pictures in the fall so of course I paid for everything they sent me. I should scan them in.

Oh yeah, Thursday the septic guy showed up (at 6:30am!!) and by 1pm we were hooked into sewer - woo hoo! Monday the electrician will be back to fix one last thing on the electric system and then we will have done everything we needed to before closing. Of course, we're also $9k poorer, but hey, it's done. We also need to arrange for movers so Josh is going to call around and get a couple places out for estimates this week so we can get that arranged for, and then we just have to start packing. Ugh.

I guess that's about enough babble from me for one day, plus I hear the princess calling me.
