Yikes, what a week!

Wednesday morning Josh woke up and couldn't move - due to his back. I had a meeting in Middletown at 10 that I couldn't miss, so I got the boys off to school (being very thankful that Morgan didn't give me a hard time about the bus since I had never put him on it before) and left Josh lying on the floor next to Jocelyn.

I came right home after the meeting, stopping at the drugstore for whatever I could find related to backaches. As soon as I walked in the school nurse called to tell me Morgan had bitten his teacher and broken the skin. Ugh. I worked from home all afternoon, which was a challenge to say the least.

Thursday it was worse, so another hectic morning getting the boys off to school (especially since it was bath day) and a very hectic day working from home as I had many meetings and Josh really couldn't move. Friday it was marginally better, and I only had 2 meetings so I took the rest of the day as vacation and that was much easier. I actually managed to get the house back into a reasonable order.

Midday I went searching through the medicine cabinets and found some percocet from when Josh had his wisdom teeth out. I forced one down his throat and besides making him a little woosy, it did make him able to stand up again. In fact, he cooked us dinner!

Last night Jocelyn woke up screaming at 12:30. I couldn't calm her so I brought her in bed with me. Well, at 2: 30 I hear "thunk" and then crying and jump up to find she'd crawled off the end of the bed - on Josh's side by his feet! Poor baby! She seemed alright, so I calmed her down, gave her a bottle, and then back to the play pen for her - no more staying in bed with us I guess!

At 6am Morgan started thumping on the wall - he likes to lie on his back on the bed and bang his feet against the wall as hard as possible. I'm afraid he's going to break through the dry wall any day now. Josh actually got out of bed to go shoosh him, so we noted that his back is almost getting marginally better. Of course, when he came back Jocelyn saw him and started crying, but a little cartoons and we were able to stay in bed a bit longer.

Right now I need to go get in the shower - I'm going to a baby shower today. I'm a little worried about leaving Josh, but he's walking at least and says he'll be fine. I'll try not to stay too long just in case.

The nice part about this week is that Jocelyn is SOOOOOO cute and it was nice to get to spend so much extra time with her. She's starting to pull herself to standing, though then she doesn't know what to do and usually manages to get her feet twisted and fall down. It was also nice to get Morgan on and off the bus - he's so good about it - and he comes home so happy. I walked Timothy to the bus stop on Thurs and Fri due to the stupid rain, and that seemed to make him happy too. So really, the week ended up good, but things were quite crazy.
