Life is a choose your own adventure where you get to choose which people you bring with you.

You know, sometimes Josh is pretty insightful. That is, when he's not squawking about Watergate and the pentagon papers first thing in the morning.

I saw the doctor this week and only gained 1 Ib in 2 1/2 weeks this time, so that was a little better than last time. I still have 2 more lbs before I'm back up to where I started, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. I am measuring a week big, but I'm feeling a whole lot bigger than that! 8 more weeks, not sure I can make it. I told my doctor I was done and she said Christmas day and the first week in January are bad for her, so if I could plan accordingly, that would be great.

Timothy is addicted to poker, but he's still no good. We played Texas hold'em last night and he folded before the flop with a pair of 4s. Then we played 5 card draw and he kept an Ace, 9 and 6 unsuited and raised when he had nothing but the Ace. I asked him why and he said, in all seriousness, that those were the good cards.

This morning I came downstairs to find him sitting at the table with the chips all ready to play, just waiting for us to wake up, so I think I'll go find a computer version today in hopes of not being harassed on a moment to moment basis.

Mom and Elisabeth came down yesterday for cookie day - Mandy nicely declined due to sick kids. We missed them but I just don't want to be throwing up while pregnant (or cleaning up kid puke).

Mom picked up the glider she bought me for Christmas, which looks like a real armchair, and Josh carried it up to the kids' room without too much trouble. Morgan LOVES it - but he takes the cushions off and sits in it without them, so I have to put it back together every time I go in there.

Hanukkah starts Tuesday and I'm still waiting on several packages for the kids so I hope they get here soon!

My replacement at work finally started this week, and made it through the week, though I think it was close. I hesitate to think what will happen when she has an actual rough week and doesn't have me there helping, but hey, not my problem. My new job goes well and is generally less stressful and marginally less work than the old one, so that's nice. For the most part I leave the office by 5 each day.

Morgan's teacher sent home a few pictures of Morgan with his classmates which were adorable. Looks like Morgan is the tallest in his class, though I don't really know the ages of the other kids so he may be the oldest as well.
