Well I had one pretty gosh-darned exciting day let me tell you. But wait, I'll save that part for the finale.

Let's see let's see. A relatively uneventful week. I got the bureaus we built last weekend put into their respective rooms and loaded with clothes (Josh helped me - woo hoo!). I moved Morgan's old bureau into my basement craft room and painted it to match. Took 3 coats which I did on 3 different nights. Thursday and Friday night I unpacked all my craft stuff and loaded all the baskets - it worked out great!

I decoupaged and painted the shadowbox I found for Morgan's room and fit it into the hole that the intercom left. Looks great!

I bought a bunch of fish bathroom decorating stuff and did a whole fish theme in the upstairs bathroom - trying to work with the powder blue instead of just getting ill every time I walk in there! A grand improvement I must say, though I think we'll still replace the toilet and sinks one of these days.

I spent some time yesterday and a lot of time today stripping the wallpaper in the master bedroom. Stupid wallpaper. The middles were nicely strippable but the seams were one big pain in the bum. I'm going to have to get some chemicals to take the last of it off, but at least the grand majority is down, and at least the walls are plaster so I can use chemicals. I'll wait until next weekend to paint.

I pulled down a little wallpaper in the office too. Just enough to figure out that it's strippable and that it's bare drywall underneath. I don't understand how these people lived her for 25 years and never changed the wallpaper or painted?!?!

Elisabeth and Rob came yesterday for a visit and spent the night. We had a nice time and Elisabeth played with the kids in my room while I stripped the paper, which was very convenient. Timothy kept asking when they were leaving, but not because he wanted them to leave, actually the opposite. He gets so anxious about people leaving, poor kid.

Oh, I made a final trip to Target this week. I've decided I'm just not allowed to go there any more! But I needed birthday presents for Morgan and my fish supplies. I'm thinking of papering Morgan's closet with this wallpaper I found online that looks like a night sky and the stars light up under a black light. Wouldn't that be cool? It was actually I site I founded when I googled gifts for autistic children, and has a whole range of cool sensory items - many of them for thousands of dollars, but a few reasonable ones too.

Ok, anyway, so my exciting day ••••• So I've been starring at my LOCKED file cabinet since we moved in as we figured  the movers must have taken the key out to move it and then the forgotten to give it back. So today I decided to try to pick the lock. Apparently this is trickier than it sounds. After a bit I got frustrated and turned the thing around to see if I could take it apart from the back - and there I found the key - taped to the back!!  Now I ask you, could anything be more thrilling?

I still have to decide on colors for the bedroom and office this week. The bedroom I'll do in some kind of Sage green but I haven't decided how dark. The office I think I'll just do a neutral - but even then there are so many to choose from! Right now I'm debating between Milk Toast and Tagsale Linen, though I haven't ruled out Filoli Antique Lace.

This was Josh's first week getting up (instead of me) in the nights with Jocelyn, who appears to be cutting her bottom teeth. He seems a little worn but is otherwise hanging in there. Of course, I told him he could cry me a river, but that's beside the point! I'm so mean.
