October 15, 2006

Well, in case any of you were wondering, Jocelyn is now the tantrum QUEEN. This morning she handed me a piece of trash and I thanked her and put it down, which launched her into a 20 minute tantrum. Screaming at the top of her lungs, hitting anything in sight, following me around to scream LOUDER, that kind of thing. She's quite gifted. When she's not throwing a tantrum, she is just OOZING cute from every pore. It's almost impossible to deal with, I just want to eat her up.

She's talking more and more. Josh was watching college football yesterday and kept saying NIIIIIICE and so of course Jocelyn started saying it too, which was just hysterical. Then of course we start laughing so she says it even more. She's started wrestling with Timothy, and despite her small stature, puts up quite a fight! The poor kid is also getting 4 teeth that just won't seem to poke through. The drool is quite impressive, and we let her have her binky more because she doesn't so much suck on it as hold it to each side and chew on it.

I bought Jocelyn 2Ts for fall/winter clothes and they are HUGE on her. She's such a little stick.

Morgan's been in a rather good mood lately, so I don't have the heart to cut his hair. He's getting pretty shaggy but he just hates haircuts so much!! It's alright - the 70s are in these days right? We see the specialist for our annual appt on Tuesday. He's getting so big. In the last couple weeks he's pretty much outgrown all his pants and now he and Timothy are both wearing size 8s. So I bought extra and they can share. Morgan needs his cuffed, but other than that they fit fine.

Timothy came with me yesterday to meet my sisters and Ruby and Patience in Sturbridge for breakfast. It was fun and he was quite excited about the cupcake that Auntie Mandy bought him to take home. Jocelyn got one too and I ate Morgan's (he's not much for cupcakes unless they are Hostess). Yum! Timothy was nice enough to read me an entire book on the way up.

I'm 36 weeks as of tomorrow which means Jesse could be here any time. I don't exactly have a record of going early though, so I'm thinking I'll make it to my induction, which will be sometime the week of Nov 6th though I don't have a day yet. At my appt this week I was still 1cm and not at all effaced, and there's really been nothing going on contraction-wise, so I think he's nice and comfy in there and not at all anxious to join us. That's ok though, a few more weeks won't kill me. Wear me out - but not kill me.

Josh seems to have hurt his back again. Nothing specific to blame it on besides old age, but he's pretty unhappy today and Jocelyn's random tantrums aren't exactly cheering him up. He's still recovering from last week's cold too, so an extra grumpy daddy these days.
