Good morning all! I'm up before Josh this morning, which is rather unusual but I figured it was about time I let him sleep in - just this once of course.
Jocelyn and I are still trying to beat this 2nd cold. The boys seem fine now and Josh can't decide if he's catching it or not. Jocelyn's nose runs 24/7 and my congestion is in my chest. I got some of that mucinex stuff at the pharmacy and it actually works pretty well.
Timothy had his first birthday part of the season yesterday and let me just say - for those of you who thought our new house was big - YOU WERE WRONG! Yikes - the whole neighborhood was incredible. All new construction - all HUGE. As you drove down the street they just got bigger and bigger. Funny thing is that one of the senior actuaries at work lives on that street - wish I new which house! Anyway, he said it was the best birthday party of his life - so I guess they had a good time. We got to hear about all the toys his friend has for a better part of the evening.
Morgan had a pretty good week except that on Wednesday the bus wasn't ready when it usually is and the teacher had to bring him back inside to wait for it and he freaked out and was crying so hard that his teacher rode the bus home with him to make sure he was ok. Poor kid.
Yesterday I gave him a haircut, which is about as easy as getting a splinter out of an octopus on speed. There was a lot of screaming involved and by the end I pretty much had to wrestle him to the floor to get him to stay still. So that explains why I let it get so long before cutting it! Timothy needs a haircut too, but he's an easier customer.
I got promoted this week from moderator to administrator of the baby message board I belong to, so I got to learn a bunch of new stuff related to the behind the scenes workings of message boards. That's pretty nifty.
Well, depending on how Josh feels I may try to talk him into going out to get pumpkins today. Not usually his favorite task ... It's also Uncle Joey's birthday so I think Josh might take the boys over there this afternoon and leave me and the princess to fend for ourselves for a few hours.
I saw the funniest onsie in a catalog yesterday - it said "Nobody puts Baby in the Corner". HAHAHAHAHAH - I've been giggling about it ever since.
Ok, it's way too quiet in the other room - guess I better go see what's going on!
