We sold the house!! We got 1 offer on Wednesday and 3 more today! We were about to counter on the 1 we got on Wednesday, and in fact our agent had left a message for their agent saying call her back. But in the time when she was waiting for him to call her back - we got the 4th offer, which was for full asking price!! They had put a clause in about selling their house first, so we said take that out and it's all yours, and they did! We got our closing date and everything! I'm so excited!!!
Now we just have to make it through the house inspection ...
So it was a pretty crazy week. We listed the house Monday and had 2 people see it Tuesday, 3 on Wednesday, 4 on Thursday, 2 on Friday, and 6 today. My goodness! We weren't even in the paper until today, and the sign just went up on Friday. It was pretty rough getting out of the house so often, and between that and needing to sell, Josh was starting to crack under the pressure, but he hung in there.
Jocelyn has had good nights and bad this week. She will often sleep until 1 or 2 and then again until 5, but Thursday night she got up at 2:30 and would not go back down. Finally at 4 I took her downstairs into the study, closed the door, and let her scream. She was asleep 10 minutes later. Of course, by then I was wide and awake and couldn't get back to sleep until 5:30, about 15 minutes before she wanted to eat again. Ugh!
Last night Josh got up with her at 1 but at 2 still couldn't get her back down so had to bring her to me in bed, but she nursed and then right to sleep and slept until 5:30, so that was fine. And she was nice enough to be good in the car this week - and we spent A LOT of time in the car this week!
We had to kill 2 hours in a row today so we headed to the school to play on the playground. Morgan did such a great job on the structures! At first he was just wandering around and flapping, so I didn't think he would play much. But then he went up the stairs of the smaller structure and asked Josh to help him climb through a tunnel and help him go on the slide. He loved it! The second time up Josh just held his hand through the tunnel instead of going with him, and pushed him down the slide instead of going with him, and after than Morgan was off and doing it on his own over and over! He then graduated to the bigger structure which had one of those wiggly bridge things. I held his hand across it once and then he just kept going back and forth across it - he was soooo proud of himself. It was adorable!
Timothy has another very lose tooth in front., but not quite there yet. He's been Oh so close to being able to reading the Junie B. Jones book series and can basically finish a book a retain the jist of the story.
We went to MA to see mom and dad (it was mom's 55th) on Friday and had a very nice visit with them and Mandy and the girls. (Elisabeth - hope you're feeling better). Apparently having a baby makes me more attractive to Sage, 'cuz I was getting all sorts of smiles. Sage was very interested in Jocelyn, which was cute. Must come in the girl DNA!
We also made our reservations for Passover, so we're all set for our trip to Philly at the end of April. We're staying at a Residence Inn this time because it has 2 bedrooms and a LR instead of 1 bedroom and a LR. It's only another 0.2 mi. from where we were last year. We always have a great time at Passover, so I'm looking forward to it. Right afterwards I'll be going back to work. Bummer, but alas, they won't let me buy the house if I don't have a job - hee hee.
Alright, enough babbling from me I guess. I think I need some calgon to take me away - what a week!
