I signed up for the breastfeeding support program they have at work. It's free, and you get 2 classes - one on breastfeeding in general, one on pumping at work. They are during lunch hour and on-site, so that's pretty convenient. Then I also got in the mail a pumping kit to hook up to the electric pump they have in the pumping room at work. The kit has the bag, with ice packs in the ice pack compartment, the hookup parts, and 2 storage bottles. It's light since there's no pump part. Who knew you could get so excited for pumping? Anyway, this is way more support than I got at Andersen, which didn't even have a room for pumping, much less a hospital grade pump to use, so I'm hoping to breastfeed for longer than I did with Morgan. Oh, and you also get an on-call lactation consultant to call at-will and who checks in with you weekly. Isn't that nice?
The blanket I'm making for Jocelyn is coming along nicely - maybe about halfway there. I love the yarn, though it's kind of fuzzy and a little hard to work with, but it's very soft.
It was raise time at work and I beat the average, but the average was 3%, so hardly anything to jump up and down for. Still, always nice to beat your peers - haha. I also got an ACE Award from my now-ex boss (since I've started in my new department now), who was basically sucking up so I'd still help him out until my replacement starts in December. Anyway - I get a clock and a certificate, and an extra $250 in my paycheck this week, so that'll buy him a little nice-ness.
Class pictures are Tuesday. Ugh - hope they are better than last year's! I have to figure out which package I'm buying. Decisions, decisions!
Baby clothes have now taken over the dining room and I need to stop buying them and also get the bureau moved up so I can start putting them away. Josh wants to get a different bureau as he doesn't like the one in the basement (or really, just doesn't want to move it I think) so we may look for tag sales this weekend or go to the slightly-damaged section of Bob's Discount Furniture.
The kids and Josh have all been sick this week. I can't tell if Josh or Morgan was worst off, it was a tight call. Now I'm just waiting to be next.
