I'm having trouble getting motivated today so figured I would go ahead and write this update to see if it got me moving a bit.
Florida was HOT but otherwise ok. They kept us working late each night, but being as I'm pretty used to getting only 5 or 6 hours of sleep each night, I was at an advantage. My team won (12 people per team, 2S teams) and we all got iPod shuffles - how cool is that?? We stayed at the Grand Floridian, where the grounds are great, the food is ok, and the staff are idiots. Tuesday morning we got to go outside and watch the shuttle take off, and each night there were really cool fireworks, so that was nice.
I need to get more painting done this weekend. I think I'm doing Jocelyn's room in a very light purple ("April Shower") and then I still can't decide what to do the dining room in. I finally ordered an area rug that sort of works with the green that is in there so I only have to paint the top half of the room. I can't decide between offwhite, a lighter version of the bottom, or a subtle burnt orange (which is another color in the rug). I guess we'll see what mood I'm in when I get to the paint store. At the very least I'm out of primer and need to get more of that.
Yesterday I slept in and then got a few wooden accessories painted - they are to cover up the big holes in the wall that are left when I take the intercoms out. I got a shadow box for our room (and had one for Morgan's already done), a big picture frame for Timothy's room to which we glued wooden letters, and a mirror for the office. I'll need to pick up something for Jocelyn's room - but am hoping that they have more shadow boxes in.
Jocelyn has become a skilled roller and is rolling over both ways with ease. She still can't sit up worth a damn, unless you count the split second before she extends her legs with force and knocks herself backwards!
Timothy spent the beginning of the week in Boxboro and then a night with Auntie Elisabeth. Sounds like both were a big hit. Of course, Auntie Elisabeth let him watch Austin Powers Goldmember, so that made him happy.
Morgan seems to have had a good week - though no specific reports from school. Still, no news is usually good news. This week is his last and then he's off until they both go back on the 31st.
Happy belated birthday to Grammie Whitten! How I manage to forget your birthday every year even though it is the same as Morgan's is beyond me!! Hope you had a great day.
Ok, I must go take the curtains down in the dining room and then take a shower and go buy some paint and painting supplies. The fun never ends!!
