Timothy and I saw the dentist on Thursday. It was our first time seeing this dentist (I hadn't been since 2002) and I liked him a lot - in his 30s and quite jovial. Our hygienist, Jennifer, was also very nice, if not a bit too sweet. Timothy did great and got a new toothbrush and a couple little toys from their gumball machine toy dispenser thing. Neither of us had any cavities. Yay!
Mandy and family stopped by yesterday and spent the night. It was a really fun visit because Ruby had time to warm up to me and I think I got more attention from her in one evening than in the rest of her life. The kids spent a while after dinner playing outside and having a grand time. Sage is so cute and is cruising like a champ. The funniest thing though was when we were all hanging out in the living room before bedtime. I was reading books with Ruby and Timothy on the floor, and Sage must've thought I was Mandy because she was making her way over to me and just as she was about to reach out and touch me, she realized her mistake and darted back to the "real" Mandy. I did pick her up once when she was already crying (figured there's no harm then) and it's like lifting air! Ruby is getting quite tall and is only a few inches shorter than Morgan. All the kids went to bed on time and uneventfully, which was a treat, and we got an adult evening.
I'm not really showing yet, can only feel a slight bulge (that wasn't already there anyway), and have lost close to 10 Ibs so far. This baby isn't much of a snacker - prefers eggs and burgers (not together of course). Also, s/he HATES my favorite snack - Tostitos and jalapeno dip. I haven't been at this weight since before Timothy was born. I'm sure it'll come back on soon enough. My at-home heartbeat monitor says the heart rate is currently in the high 150s or low 160s. Just 3 more weeks until the 3D ultrasound!
