A while ago I bought a microtouch (so I could regularly pretend to have two eyebrows instead of just the one I actually have). The other day Josh heard water running in the bathroom and went to congratulate Timothy on brushing his teeth without being reminded, but he wasn't brushing his teeth. He had gotten the microtouch, tapped it like a toothbrush on the edge of the sink and was proceeding to use it on his head. Josh grabbed it from him, and he says, "But Daddy, even on sensitive skin it just makes it smooth - no red bumps. You can use it on your arms or face or even your hair." Omigod - the kid is a walking infomercial! So Josh explained the whole don't put electronics in water and don't shave your head lessons of the day. Luckily he wasn't very skilled with it and only took out a small chunk.
We went to Tim's wedding yesterday which was very nice. Definitely the funniest priest I've ever heard or seen (he kept playing with his dentures during the ceremony, so his teeth were popping in and out!), but also a very touching ceremony. We got to see several people we hadn't seen in years. Tim is one of 4 boys and they all have a strong family resemblance and are all quite good looking and of course have the endearing Long Island accent. His mom is a riot and was telling everyone how I was one of the first UConn friends she met because she always ran into me in the bathroom when she was visiting Tim, which I had totally forgotten about. (When we were at UConn, every other floor has a men's room and every other floor has a women's room). We also met many people we'd only heard of, who usually responded to the introduction with, "oh, YOU'RE Josh and Rhonda". The food was awesome, which is rather unusual for a wedding I think.
Mom and Dad came down to watch the kids and sounds like they had a fun enough time. Timothy went to a karate pizza party from 6 - 9, which was a big hit. They did karate, ate pizza, and watched Cody Banks 2. Mom cleaned my kitchen floor - which was desperately needed and much appreciated. Josh isn't much for scrubbing the floor by hand and I don't seem to have the energy or the desire to get that close to Comet lately.
Jocelyn's still kicking up a storm, and Josh even managed to feel the kicks a couple times which is always fun. A bunch of baby stuff I ordered last weekend has arrived and is sitting in boxes in the garage.
Morgan's latest video rage is Bear in the Big Blue House and Raffi, so right now I am listening to his rendition of The Corner Grocery Store as I write this (There were RATS RATS big as baseball bats in the store, in the store ...).
I'm in the process of switching departments at work. I start in the new dept on Monday but my replacement doesn't start until December, so I'll likely be doing 2 jobs until then. I'm sure I'll manage, but should be busy for a while.
