June 10, 2006

Well I hate to say it because I don't want to jinx anything, but I have really been enjoying this pregnancy. I found the greatest maternity pillow so that even sleeping is comfortable at this point. I was barely sick at all in the beginning and now my only symptom (besides the rather large belly) is random dizzy spells. Those are mostly ok and short lived, though I was moving Timothy's caterpillar cocoons to the butterfly house the other day and it smelled a little weird and my eyes got all blurry and I had to back away and sit down and have Josh finish - so that was a little weird. But I'll just avoid caterpillar food in the future!

Jocelyn was running around commando yesterday and Josh sent Morgan in to use the bathroom. Jocelyn ran after him and followed him in, stood in front of her potty chair (just like Morgan in front of the toilet) and peed on the floor! I don't know how we're going to teach her to sit when she spends her whole day with standers!

In general Jocelyn pretty much thinks that Morgan hung the moon. He wants nothing to do with her though. She follows him around and wants to do everything he does. He barely notices her. Josh therefore took the opportunity to explain to Timothy how girls only want what they can't have - hahahaha.

So after further discussion Josh and I have decided on getting an estimate of putting a wall up in the loft and turning it into another bedroom so all the kids can have their own room. For some reason the thought of my son sleeping in a purple room with fairies was starting to bother me, so I hope it's something we can swing it - perhaps this summer so I can make him an actual nursery. I already bought a new crib set from overstock (for $40!!) with a froggie theme, so I'm thinking a nice pale green for the walls. Jocelyn will move into the new room (we considered moving Morgan because this will be the 2nd biggest room, but he really loves his big window) and I'll probably still do purple for her. Anyway, I'm excited and Josh says he'll call someone for an estimate this week.

Timothy's only half-way through his thank you cards to his friends. Oy - it's like pulling teeth! He does a good job once he gets started though.
