Well let's see let's see. This week is a bit fuzzy.
Monday we got the list of demands from the buyers, which wasn't too bad actually, except the part where our septic failed inspection and we need to tie into public sewer. Ah well, we knew something had to not go smoothly right? They were also concerned that the heat wasn't working in the basement, but I assured them that's because they didn't actually turn it on (it has a separate control), which does tend to make it work from what we can tell.
So Tuesday the furnace guy came out to service the boiler and informed us that contrary to whatever idiot we spoke to when we called, he didn't actually fix anything, he just checks stuff, so we'd need a plumber to fix the worn gaskets (as requested by the buyers). The electrician said he'd be by on Thursday, but never showed up and never called. The septic guy said he'd call Wednesday but we haven't heard anything from him yet either. So far this is not as easy as it sounded!
Tuesday I woke up with a horribly sore throat but otherwise felt ok. By midday I felt like crap and called the doc but couldn't get in until Wednesday. By then I was at death's doorstep with strep and a sinus infection, so he gave me antibiotics for that and today I'm finally starting to feel better.
Jocelyn is incredibly alert and verbal these days. Right now she's on the floor beside me in her boppy staring at her feet. She seems to quite enjoy tv already - woo hoo! Hungry little thing and her mother dresses her funny, but besides that a perfect angel. She's gotten into more of a routine with her sleeping and does tend to do a 5-6 hour stint each night now. If we could get that up to 8 we'd be talking!
I've only got a couple more weeks before I go back to work, so I'm hoping I at least feel well enough to enjoy them! Tomorrow Timothy has t-ball practice and a birthday party, and then we're expecting Susan and Jonathan to swing by on their way back from a bar mitzva in MA. Monday Jocelyn sees the doc and gets way too many shots - poor baby! Wednesday I'm going see the special kindergarten teacher and observe the class (this will be where Morgan goes next year). We had to cancel a visit from Morgan's old Birth to 3 teacher this week, so I'll have to reschedule for next week.
Ok, Jocelyn's crying and Josh says he doesn't do cranky baby, so I gotta run!
