I almost didn't copy my mother on this note as I didn't want her to feel bad that Timothy has become incredibly proficient with our universal remote when she hasn't quite mastered using her own TV yet. His favorite task is browsing through the different episodes of the Simpsons on DVD (Josh got the second season for Christmas). He also knows how to go back and forth from regular cable to the dish, and knows which are his favorite channels on each (knows Nick is 44 on cable and 170 on the dish). Pretty impressive I think. Now, if he could put his shoes on by himself, we might be able to send him to kindergarten in the fall!

Timothy thinks annoying is a nnoying, so he says, "I'm such a nnoying" or "You are such a nnoying."

Morgan seems to be quite in love with Tim's dog Abbey. When she comes in, he screams "ABBEY!!" The other day he was chanting her name "Abb-ey Abb-ey Abb-ey Yea!!!!" It was pretty cute. He pats her very nicely and she's very tolerant of him. Timothy is still scared of her, and only walks by her if he stares at the ceiling while he does it. Not exactly the safest way to go, but an improvement over running in the other direction.

Mom came for a visit yesterday. I woke up at about 8am and noted the time on the clock, closed my eyes for just a moment, and ba-bam, it was 9:28am. I jumped out of bed and looked out the window - mom's car was in the driveway. I raced down to let her in, and was forced to go from zero to mom in under 10 seconds. That's a lot for a Saturday morning!

She went out for donuts and coffee, which were enjoyed by all. (We've been desperately trying to fatten Timothy up thinking perhaps he could get out of a car seat before college, but it's not working). The kids had a great time playing with grandma. I was definitely impressed that Morgan participated so much. Timothy gave grandma the usual teary goodbye, and then when the car had pulled away, asked if he could play games. Good recovery.

It's been a pretty mellow week. Morgan says “ta-da” when you finish dressing him. He also says “what's up doc” after smacking his lips (on the carrot I assume). Thank god for TV!
