We had a fun week this week!
Monday was Timothy's birthday. I took the day off work and when he got home we had a birthday party set up for him. All of us (and Uncle Joey) hid when he walked in and jumped out at him. He fell down - it was hysterical. He was totally playing it up though - loved every second. He opened presents and we ordered Dominoes (ick! but it's his favorite) and had cake. I've got some pictures when I get around to downloading them.
I upped my runs to 4 miles this week - so each of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I ran 4 miles in the morning. Tuesday and Thursday were interval days - I did the treadmill after work on Tues due to rain and then by Thursday I was in the habit of getting up at 5:15 and working out before work. It's rough getting up but way easier on our evening schedule. This morning Mandy was here so we did a power walk and chatted so much that we barely noticed the hour go by. I'm having good results though - I've lost 24 Ibs to date! I have about 10 more to go. Now that the carrot cake Mandy brought is gone, I should be able to get back on track!
Friday I worked from home in the morning so Josh and Jocelyn could go to Timothy's recorder recital. Timothy was the only one with a solo. (Don't get too excited - it was only a handful of notes). Jocelyn enjoyed Timothy's school. Then I took off in the afternoon and Jocelyn and I went to Morgan's first grade play - Tikki Tikki Tembo. Morgan did such a great job with his lines - I even cried I was just so proud of him. His teacher is just so sweet she came out beforehand to tell me where he would be so that I could make sure I could see him. Jocelyn looked adorable in her braided hair and pink dress sitting in the big chair beside me (once it started she sat in my lap - which added to the sweat factor since it was 90 degrees already in the gymnasium, and that was prior to all the parents and every kid in the school coming in). Afterwards we went back to his classroom for juice and cookies. A classroom that barely fits 23 kids REALLY doesn't fit them and all their parents though! Luckily Morgan had to go to the bathroom so we went back to the special ed room. Jocelyn's eyes lit up - TOYS! So she made herself busy playing and I chatted with Morgan's teacher (who I learned is pregnant and due in October and will be out until April - great for her but bummer for us!). When I finally told Jocelyn it was time to leave she had a full on tantrum - threw herself down, kicking, screaming, the whole bit. Morgan ran to the corner and covered his ears - he hates her tantrums. Luckily I picked her up and shushed her and she quieted down and we all headed home.
Around 5pm Mandy and family arrived. It is just so fun to watch all the cousins play! Patience is crawling - so adorable! Jocelyn had been napping from her long day but mostly was in a good mood, though she didn't quite get herself inserted into the middle of things, more watched from the side. She was relatively good about sharing toys, for a 2-year old anyway. Jesse decided that Sage is his favorite - she's so sweet with him, making faces and playing peekaboo and such. The girls and Timothy all put their bathing suits on and had a swim in the tub, then we showed Mandy and Jeff how much fun a Wii can be! Mandy and I walked this morning and then the Roberges left (with everything except the High School Musical DVD - we'll bring that back next week Mandy).
Now Jesse is down for his second nap and Morgan is playing video games and Jocelyn, hmmmm, well I best go find her, oh wait, I hear her in her room - must be playing with her dollhouse. Josh took Timothy to a birthday party that's 30 minutes away and only lasts 90 minutes so he's just going to wait there.
This is the last week of school so I need to get teacher gifts. Then Morgan's summer school is July 2nd to Aug 3rd and I'm not sure what we're going to do with Timothy. There was a 1 week baseball camp that was just mornings but I'm not sure if we're too late at this point. He's made friends with a little girl down the street that has a pool and a SAHM, so that will probably work out well this summer!
Oh, I almost forgot weigh in! Jesse gained another 7 oz this week! He's at close to 13.5lbs now - yay! He's really chunking out - Mandy even commented. Plus he's almost as tall as Patience, so I think he's getting longer too. He only had rice cereal once this week and broke out again, but since he gained weight without it, I think I'll just give up on that. For lunch today he ate an entire avocado and I didn't even mash it up - just used a spoon to get pieces off and he chewed them up like that. Wow!
ok, Jocelyn's too quiet again - off to find out why!
